Can You Succeed Without It

In Branding, Business, Entrepreneurs, Growth, Marketing, New Beginning, Strategy, success

‘Life is such a crazy ride’ I’ll find myself saying frequently, perhaps more so during the last year of shut downs as plot twists and turns have become the norm in some-more-than-ever extreme ways. With our world in such a state of flux it can equate to many of us feeling off kilter.

For sure I’ve been feeling like I’m on a roller coaster ride, taking in lots of info that I may not in more ‘ordinary’ times (is there such a thing?). Then add in the observations from those in astrology regarding planetary and universal energies and WoW! it’s a bit mind-bending.

Recently I was reminded of something John Assaraf says about ‘confidence and certainty’ that had impacted me previously. As he was speaking about these attributes I was reflecting for myself and those I work know and work with and noticing how challenging it is to stand solidly in this space. Often I think of it as a destination, a place I’m longing to be. As if when we arrive there will be a sign saying “WELCOME to Confidence and Certainty – Population ?”. Which led me to wonder if we could ever really Iive there, or are we simply tourists and visitors who stop by but never actually move in.

When checking out the dictionary definitions of these words they seemed to sum up what can be a very powerful place to ‘see’ from. It said: Confidence is all about trust and faith, while Certainty was described as a state of being. My interpretation is that once we step into confidence we are more apt to feel certainty. Without confidence it’s almost a cosmic dare to feel certain (positive or negative).

So are the steps I take myself and share with my people to enhance life through Your C&C:

  1. Give yourself PERMISSION to feel. Bad, uncomfortable, confused. Whatever word you use, just go there. Lean into it. Just as you’d let your best friend be themselves fully, give yourself that same gift.
  2. Get CURIOUS. Most of us are programmed to push discomfort away. Instead, notice that you have this ‘stuff’ and let it wash over you. Shifting to curiosity about the lessons here will be most useful.
  3. Before action let yourself BE, then DO. Give yourself some grace and quiet to notice how you define confident. Using step 2, be kind and gentle with your expectations. Even better, be OPEN to being committed rather than attached to outcomes. Then ask whatever forces that guide you to help.
  4. Get ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE. What’s impossible to see when we’re in our own ‘junk’ can be easy for someone else to recognize. That’s just the way it is. Being assisted by a professional who works in the area where you feel any disconnect is a great way to move through it faster, with more lasting results. For my work, we then use this intel to build stronger marketing/brand platforms.

We all know that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’, but sometimes that is forgotten when it comes to reaching for where we want to go. Using these steps has helped to open up the flow and allow for some amazing growth and opportunities. Each time, something magical happens! Next time you hit that wall of chaos, try these tips out and see what you can create.

To your Unforgettable Journey,
J.
