Dealing with Turbulent Times

In Branding, Business, Entrepreneurs, Growth, Marketing, New Beginning, Strategy, success

It’s June. I can hardly believe it as this year has been a bit of a blur in many ways. The distractions and fear based chatter out in the world can be a bit overwhelming, and for any leader it can be a daily challenge to keep our heads down and make some progress with our vision. Some days, it feels like I can’t see through the fog.

Many of my clients, (and me too) are finding it helpful to work with someone to keep us on track. Yes, there’s more noise but there’s also more opportunity if we design our paths for the current conditions.

A few conversations have made me very aware of this. From someone looking to move from hobby to business and from the 7-figure owners with teams who need to stay focused and clear while caring for their families, team, and clients. All have been placed on high alert with the new emotional and physical challenges we are experiencing around the globe.

So, here we are. Two quarters down for the year. Have you assessed how its unfolding?

If you’re feeling that your intentions for 2020 are slipping away there IS something you can do right now to make a shift.

SMy suggestion is to stop.
Stop for a bit and re-assess. With all the noise it can be hard to see what’s actually going on. So stop and be sure you’re really clear about where you are now.

LLook at what IS working. Lean into that.
What if you did more of that or expanded upon it? What’s working can be determined by seeing what is easy, has a return and a low/ish investment to make work. AND will maximize your team’s talents.

RNotice what ISN’T working and can be released.
Nothing is more exhausting than dead weight. No matter if it’s what you had planned, plans have changed. Lighten your load by releasing now.

R With your new fresh eyes and perspective, begin again… look ahead to 2025 and redesign from this new vantage point.

Think about what it would take to 10x or 50x the business. Decide if that’s what you want and then create a strategy from that place. Reverse engineer and get in action.

Looking back you’ll see that not only have you weathered this storm, it helped to make you into a better version of leader and business owner. Now you can be wickedly effective too!

Remember that some of the most successful businesses of our era were created during turbulent times. Opportunities still exist. It’s up to us to make them tangible.

When I speak to clients we assess what’s not working and use that to fuel our next steps. Why not try that for yourself? It’s best when done with another who can look from the 10,000 foot view.

Working with these sorts of topics will help with developing resilience, strengthen your leadership muscles and allow for a new level of emotional intelligence. Go it alone or give me a call and we can embark on this journey together. Either way remember to: S.L.R.R.

p.s…For those who wish to explore further, who are ready to design a new map to future possibilities…please let me know… I’m here to help.
