Does Thinking Make It SO?
When the world and life gets crazy, we all handle it in different ways. For myself, I dig deeper into my positive communities. In some ways I overdose on positivity, possibility and planning for moving forward. Due to an excessive amount of stress by the end of January I could hardly walk, my sleep was off and somehow I’d developed a crazy level of pain in my legs. And this is Pre-Covid! My immersion began towards the end of February and I’m now better than I’ve been in ages!
The last two months have been focused on Abundance and Gratitude.
No surprise, both are VERY good for business.
Finding more positive peeps to be around, adding revenue streams, working with inspiring clients, and adding more healthy items to my daily protocols has been such a joy!! (if you’re interested in adding any of these to your world please reach out)
One more thing that I’d love to share…. what I notice time and again is that successful people have a particular mindset and are always interested in upgrading their thoughts and habit patterns.
So HOW do we do that? Well, one simple way is to generate NEW neuropathways. You may wonder what this has to do with your Brand. Everything!! You can not lead a business and up level if your thoughts keep you stuck, low energy or in low possibility. For instance, I was just speaking to someone who is focused on ‘the world going to shit’… so that’s all he sees. When we look for possibility we can see it, when we look for the bad we will see that. Our brains are always collecting evidence so why not collect evidence that supports our growth?
Many of the high achieving leaders I work with end each day by noticing what they didn’t get done that day. How we’re so busy but what are we getting accomplished? Are we moving closer to our goals when we seem to be crawling ahead rather than leaping as we’d like? Argh, another day I didn’t to ‘that’… you know that ONE thing that would change everything… on and on we berate ourselves until we finally sleep. Then at 4am. we’re up with these same destructive thoughts. This is not only less than helpful, its a terrible way to live!! I bet most of these same people would never never ever speak to their child or best friend that way. We’d find some kernel of good in their day. Some reason to be hopeful and bright.
Okay, so here’s the tip: to create a new thought pattern try this for 60 days. Every night as you go to sleep give thanks for the day and find 3 things that you are proud of yourself for accomplishing. Three things! Small or big or anything in between. From keeping your cool to landing a big contract. Anything that you got done that day. On bad days focus on the fact that you got up and made it through the day. Rewiring needs the correct input, just like a computer so make sure your computer is getting the best ‘food’.
As we begin to think differently our world will reflect this too. I dare you to try it!
Sixty days of continuously noticing where you’re succeeding will lay the foundation for SO much more to come your way.
