Can we have Hope in the midst of so much uncertainty?
The other day while I was working on content for a class, I came across something that has stuck with me.
My friend Kathryn Goetzke from iFred International writes that: Some say that Hope is not a strategy for success, yet we see that HOPE IS the strategy!
In today’s strange new world we will see our priorities shift, and one place to notice that shift is around your Hope muscle.
Dr. Anthony Scioli explains that hope is a part of a person’s character or personality. You are not born with hope. Hope must be developed, like a set of muscles.
Now, this is not to bury one’s head in the sand but it is a known that it is much harder to find solutions if we are focused on the problems. To know deep down that solutions must exist give us the opportunity to ‘see’ when otherwise we do not.
Do you ever look and look for keys that have been misplaced? Then when you put this problem aside, and move on you suddenly ‘see’ where you put them in your mind’s eye?
This is similar. As we relax and shift our gaze from what we think we see, we open to new possibilities.
Hope is not stagnant or static. It’s dynamic, moving and future focused. As are we. Now more than ever entrepreneurs will demonstrate leadership… and innovation… and creativity. THAT is hope!
For a bit you may have only seen how difficult this is.
How overwhelming it feels.
You may be reeling from the impact of the sudden changes.
You may have team that relies on you.
Or revenue streams that depended on in person visitors/transactions.
But there is MORE. We can now widen our view of what’s possible and adjust or strategies….
Seeing beyond what is our now.
Looking for the unseen, the promise, the possibility.
Knowing in our hearts that there is opportunity.
Feeling that new ideas and direction are just beyond our view.
Handle Obstacles Positively & Eagerly!
So, today I send you HOPE, and the knowing that you Will prevail!
Remember, just like the rest of life, this way of thinking is for a marathon not a sprint.
The hope of a secure and livable world lies with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood. —Martin Luther King, Jr.
