Is it time yet?
One thing I know for sure is that my clients are high achievers who expect a lot from themselves in every area they participate in. Often there’s an expectation to accomplish the vision we hold for our business. Without it we could not sustain the energy needed to run the race over the many years decades.
However many business owners do not extend any metrics to their personal life.
We may think we have superpowers, and we do!! haha… BUT we are still Human after all. In order to be our best we need to restore and recharge.
One of the ways to become a better CEO is to give yourself the white space (read time here) to regenerate and create new ideas. Creativity can be harder to access with too much noise in our lives. Its why some of us have great ideas in the bathroom, in the shower, or on a long drive.
When life gets crazy busy, take the time to slow down, find some quiet and know that this could be THE most constructive use of your time and energy. You know the story of the monk that was asked: What do you do when there is no time to meditate? and He replied: I meditate more on those days.
How then can you design your own metrics for creating space?
Is it to block your calendar with a specific time chunk?
Or to monitor your energy then make time…. or block out some time after lunch for a short nap?
Or give yourself some weekend time to just ‘be’. Find yours and stick to it….
Find the time, find the space…. do less to have more.
Stay your Unforgettable self!,
